World Changers

What happened to all the people in the 70's who were going to overthrow "the system" and change the world? I was thinking about them this morning.

I suppose maybe they really did change things. It doesn't look much like things are better than they were in our parent's day. I don't think people are generally happier either.

So here's what I think we should do..we should start our own new revolution..and demand nothing less than neighborhoods where our children can play again...I think Ward Cleaver should be president....

They let these people carry knitting needles on airplanes.

I have decided today to remove myself from a group on Ravelry. It was a group that was formed for knitters who support Sarah Palin as the vice president.

I was naive to think that this could be a peaceful endeavor..imagine that. Who'd have thunk that knitters could be so rabid and evil. Who can imagine what evil lurks in the heart of women who go crazy over the feel of alpaca?

I think in the future, I'd be much safer joining a group of skinhead knitters.
